X Plane 11. Assigning a new default VC View to a Logitech Button

Recommended Posts

Hello

I'm using X-plane 11

I'm trying to assign a new default VC view I have set up to my Logitech joystick.  I have moved the camera into the VC position I want But I cannot figure out how to save this new view to the side button as seen below

I know how to save Views in general using the Key pad but cannot figure out this one

Basically I want to click this button and for it to bring me back to my new VC view (looking forward in the VC)

Thank you In advance

Try this:

.) Move the camera to the position you want to save;

.) Use a Quick-Look key combo to memorize the camera position (default key should be CTRL+NUMPAD 0-9), e.g. 0 is quick-look location #1;

.) Assign the joystick button to: "go to save 3d cockpit location #1" function (it's in the "Views"->"Quick Look" directory);

Hello Alex

If you are anywhere in the VC and you pan around but you want to click a button to bring you back to your default position VC position

Launch Prepar3D > Options > Controls > Key Assignments,    In the "Event Category" at the top click Views  locate Eyepoint Reset by default this is set to "Ctrl + Space"  double left click on it and press the button on your Joystick you want to use,  Click Ok and Click Ok again in the main Menu to Save it.

Elaine (or anybody with the knowledge)

Another question if you know please.

Let's say that I adjusted the VC position (hight and zoom) and I would like to set that position as a VC default, how do I do that.

It makes much easier after you look around in the cockpit just to push a joystic button and to return instant to the newly VC position saved.

Thank you.

Fascinating.

The co-mingling of XP & P3D Q&A.

Could this be the genesis of a merger of Sims  that eventually means I won't have to buy 2 of everything?:biggrin:
