April 26, 20188 yr First time posting so please bare with me, hopefully I am on the right place. I updated to windows 10 a while ago and upgraded from fsx to p3d. Since then I haven't had a single issue with anything. From the time I upgraded I ve been using the same x52 controller I have was using for fsx. I started to notice a known issue with it decalibrating from time to time (by unplugging and plugging it back on it would fix it temporarily). I got sick of it so I decided to download the latest drivers and software from the saitek website (I guess logitech now) Big mistake, this is when everything went to hell. Ar first everything seemed ok. I was about to go flying on my A2A comanche and all of the sudden, the right click window just kept popping up uncommanded. Not only on p3d but also on my desktop. Unplugging the x52 fixed it but then when i unplugged my mouse to rearrange things my pc stop recogninzing it (pretty much anything i would disconnect and connect my pc would not recognize until i did a restart). It happened with default airplanes and other 3rd party. The last time it happened my screen kept randomly flashing black while flying even after unplugging the x52. However the right click issue went away. ( This has never happened before) Please help. I7 4790 GTX1070 asrock h97 pro4 16 gig ram
April 26, 20188 yr Moderator How are you controlling the X52? Are you using FSUIPC, Saitek software or P3D control settings? I have an X52, X55, CH yoke, Throttle & Rudders all connected with FSUIPC and have NO issues. If you haven't done it, you might consider using FSUIPC to map all your controls ( disable sticks in P3D) - once you take the time to set it up, you will never go back. April 29, 20188 yr Author Originally when I updated to windows 10 all I did was plug in my x52 and it worked alright with whatever windows did. After I started using the hotas software thats when thing took a bad turn. I uninstalled all the drivers and software and reconnected the joystick letting the os to take care of the rest, and surprisingly it did. The issues are gone, for now at least. So do you recomend me using FSUIPC? Pardon my ignorance, I am not too sure what that is and how it works.
April 29, 20188 yr Moderator well, if everything is working there is no NEED to use FSUIPC however it can be used to map all your controllers and create profiles for different aircraft. FSUIPC is a payware addon that can be used for many things. I suggest you google FSUIPC and Pete Dowson to get a better idea what it can do. May 1, 20188 yr Author Thanks a lot, but unfortunately the problems returned. And they are worst. I was setting up a camera on ezdock and one of the buttons kept firing uncommanded. I closed p3d and the x52 stopped working completely. I redownloaded the new drivers again, and of course the conflicts with my mouse right click started again. I am seriously very close to be done with saitek for good.
May 1, 20188 yr Moderator I don't use any saitek software or drivers - just FSUIPC. RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
May 1, 20188 yr Author I narrowed down a bit. Having the software and drivers installed (they won’t allow you to install the drivers without their buggy software) actually triggers my mouse to right click constantly. It’s the weirdest thing. I have a Logitech G35 so I’m thinking that could be an issue and why they are crosstalking.
July 12, 20196 yr I have just connected a new Logitech G X52 to P3D 4.5 with FSUIPC 5 and without installing Logitech software and drivers. Everything works well except I cannot vary the LED lighting and the MFD is not backlit. Granted these are small issues but the lights are too bright and the stopwatch would be useful. You cannot install the software without the drivers. Does anyone know if I can install both and safely uninstall the drivers and just use the software with FSUIPC without the problems discussed here. I have Windows 7. Thanks. Steve P. I have a X52 for like 15 years now and it's working good, except for it's own mouse whose dead zones I have widened to the maximum allowed so that it wouldn't conflict with the ordinary mouse, and I have the drivers installed (which are essential to turn off those horrible LED lights), but never installed the utility. I never had to calibrate it and P3D recognises it beautifully since I use it's own assignments, except for very specific ones for which I use FSUIPC. Interestingly years ago it would develop some kind of stick spikes over time, which would be solved by only disconnecting and the reconnecting the cable that links one unit to another (throttle/stick), but then one day it stopped happening and it's very stable nowadays.
