Hi all

after purchasing PMDG NGX 737-800/900 for fsx steam, the aircraft sometimes doesn't load right in the sim. In cockpit view, all screens will be switched off and the mouse won't operate the switches and you have no control over it, also, normally upon loading, the first few seconds the aircraft will initialize settings, then it will work, but sometimes they won't and this is when it doesn't work. What does makes it work is re-installing or repairing the add on, so not ideal and a bit frustrating for an expensive add on.

Hey, Tony. Just wanted to let you know that PMDG rules require you to sign your posts with your first and last name. I assume your username is your name, but they do require it be in one place for consistency. You can set this in your signature settings if you wish to prevent forgetting to do so. Second off, as this question was about the 737, this would have been better posted in the dedicated 737 forum rather than the general forum. In any event, I'm not really too sure what could be causing your issue, but I wonder if you're having some sort of activation issue. I think the program that verifies the activations is FlexNet, so if that isn't running for some reason, I am guessing it could cause issues. Someone from PMDG might know this better than I would.

I assumed that any PMDG product would be relevant in this forum. I will email Aerosoft shop who I purchased the product from, it looks like it does it randomly and doesn't always need re-installing or repairing.

Honest, full names are one of PMDGs forum rules.  It sounds like to me you might be starting the NGX incorrectly.  Please review the Introduction document, and note that one should not set the NGX as a default aircraft nor should one load one complex simulation on top of another.

I think it has something to do with FlexNet as mentioned, seems like a few users are having or have had the same issue with this add on.

thanks for the reply, regarding the panel control issue from first post, it seems to be working now but will let you know, one thing that did happen is, if I end the flight and not exit the sim, and then go back to fly now, the aircraft and scenery would shake badly, so exit flight again and reload and it's fine again. Also, I want to run FSCaptain with it, but having issues setting it up for flight plan correctly with PMDG FMC, not only do I need to set up FScapatin FMC but also the aircraft's, on the default 737 800, you would set up the gps and auto pilot running alongside the FScaptain FMC. A bit annoying but very detailed add on.
