May 9, 20188 yr Hey Guys, I only play P3D I just want your guys opinion as I don't know what should I upgrade, I have i5 6600k that oc to 4.4ghz, I have MSI GTX 970 4GB x2Amour Edition, with 16GB DDR Ram, My budget is very low at the moment, Should upgrade the processor to I7 7700 or the graphics card first, Thank you
May 9, 20188 yr Hi, would I be in your shoes, with a limited budget that allows updating only one component, then I would look for a graphics card that would better match the level of your CPU. Try a GPU in the range of an nVidia GTX 1060 or similar. If this would exceed your budget then you would need to look for a 1050 chip or for other options from AMD. In any case you need to verify the power requirements of the new desired GPU and if your PC setup can fulfill them. You may want to check this site for benchmark comparisons between graphics cards: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/ Good luck, Frank Edited May 9, 20188 yr by mdata Added a hint. Frank Hoehn I7-6700K, Asus Z170-A, 32GB DDR4, GeForce GTX 1070, Samsung 850 Evo 500GB, Samsung 850 Evo 1TB (P3D), WD Blue 4TB, Win10 Pro 1803, P3Dv4.4
May 9, 20188 yr GPU upgrade would be the one, however don't bother for anything less than a 1070. The 1050 that mdata recommends would actually be a downgrade on your 970 P3D v4.5 MSFS2020 Hisense 50" 4K TV Ryzen 9600x 64gb DDR5 6000mhz, Asrock B650m HDV/M.2 Gigabyte 16gb 9070XT, Thermalright Aqua Elite 240mm 2TB NVMe Boot/FS2020 Drive, 2TB NVMe P3D Drive. May 9, 20188 yr I agree don't get anything bellow a 1070 for P3dv4. Just save up a little more. Josh CPU: Intel i9-11900K @5.2 / RAM: 64GB DDR4 3200 / GPU: 4080 16GB /
