May 17, 20188 yr Hi Guys My first post so apologies for the basic question which has probably been asked and answered a hundred times over recent years but... Was wondering if you could recommend a good manufacturer for a Lear 45 like the one that came standard with FS9 and FSX for Prepar3d v4? Something with great graphics, good flight model and a usable GPS like the original? I love Prepar3d but I also like a bit of speed to get me quickly to the next ILS lol
May 17, 20188 yr Hi... Welcome to the boards... Forget the 45 - there are none - the default is a miserable beast - drop back to the 35 or 25... Personally - I like the Flysimware Lear 35A and I can't get enough of it - others like the Xtreme Prototypes Lear 25... I don't think you can go wrong with either... Xtreme has better visuals - Flysimware has better frames - both are well made simulations... Things happen fast - real fast - without the fancy automation of newer transport category aircraft - and - these aircraft require two pilots in the RW - so just be prepared for a serious learning curve... May 17, 20188 yr I like the XP Learjet 25, although as per the above post both the Learjets are a real handful, lots of thrust and relatively high approach speeds. However, p3d (especially p3d4) has a massive shortage of quality business jets. So beggars can't be choosers! G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron

My personal preference is for the 25, primarily because of the model detail. Also, MilViz is developing a Lear 60 for P3D, but I do not know it's development status. If you like the FSX Lear 45, I see no reason why it couldn't be manually installed into P3D (v3 or v4) since it does not appear to have any non-XML gauges, however, unless you're very familiar with the how FSX/P3D store aircraft and their components, this can be a challenging exercise. May 17, 20188 yr Moderator Another vote for the Xtreme Prototypes Lear 25. Superb instrumentation and FPS is fine on my 4770K / 1080 in P3D v3.4. 👍 Ray (Cheshire, England).
