July 3, 200619 yr Yep, that's how I've been using AS6+ASG and GEPro together as well. I feed AS6 the flightplan and let it grind the weather, then let GEPro load the ground/sky textures. I forgot about starting AS6 paused, though, I'll have to do that.I know there will be times where I don't feel like going through the extra GEPro steps and let it just use the default textures (which I'm always careful to re-load when I exit GEPro). So in those cases I just won't run GEPro and I'll let AS6 handle the sky textures. Even the default un-colorized GEPro ground textures are so fantastic, it's worth it.Lewis "Moose" GregoryRichmond, Virginia Lewis "Moose" Gregory Durham, North Carolina

You end up overwriting those textures with the default GE Pro ones! Eric

I left GEPro minimized for several flights over the weekend and it didn't seem to bother my system at all. Then I just exit when I'm done (or need to reboot) and let it put the default GEPro textures back, so that way, if I don't run GEPro again, I have a nice middle-of-the-road set of textures.Of course, now I'm thinking about installing Vista Australis for some Aussie flying, so that's ANOTHER set of textures to keep track of. Sooner or later I'm going to do some real damage here. :) Just gotta remember to make backups, backups, backups!Lewis "Moose" GregoryRichmond, Virginia Lewis "Moose" Gregory Durham, North Carolina
July 3, 200619 yr I to am a mite confused, I have GE, FE, and use FSMetar for weather genration; is it worth my while getting GEPro? How will it react with FE will it negate its effect, also how does it work with FSUIPC which i use to further cunstomise clouds and visibility?Cheers
July 3, 200619 yr Bruce,FS9 will always display the last set of textures submitted prior to starting. Generally, FE will supply the cloud and water textures and would be run first. Then, GE Pro will supply the ground and sky textures based on an algorithm built into its programming. Both programs are suppling different sets of textures and no negative effects should be observed when using them together, as you have probably noticed presently with GE. As far as reduced visibilities or any customization that you've done with FSUIPC, the only effect would be the lack of eye candy when the visibility is reduced too much. The program has transformed the sim considerably, and as a previous customer of GE, $20 USD was and still is a virtual bargain. An enormous amount of work has obviously gone into this program. Peter, Anthony and Carl have done an excellent job of providing us with yet another masterpiece. And there's always the 30 day refund policy. You can't loose. Jim Karnhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_pf.jpg

Better still, long term Peter and I will be integrating VOZ textures into the GEPRO base back so you just need to use one front end.
