Featured Replies

Hi all

Had a great experience some days ago. Now i'm seeing fs2crew on the desktop, while it doesn't appear in VR. Anyone having / had similar experiences?

grtz

You mean the FS2Crew Main Panel?  It's like any other 2D panel in the simulation.

Yep, so when i'm in a default plane i can see those panels in vr.

When i am in my pmdg 777 i only see the (fs2crew-) 2D panels on top of my sim in desktop view + in the FlyInside room.  Once i am in the virtual cockpit in VR the panels aren't there. (I only had a black blink for a second)

When i use the FlyInside menu i see all the fs2crew panels listed... selecting these "views" gives me the same result.

To end with, fs2crew (voicecontrol) works perfectly together with FlyInside.

How i solved my problem with the panels above and how to save 13 hours of your life?

1) Make sure after a Win10 update that the OS-language is English. (If not change this in your regional / language settings and restart, this should only take a couple of minutes).

2) Make sure that your microphone is correctly working together with speech recognition. (In my case also a realtek update messed up my microphone settings).

3) Empty the folder C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\FlyInside.

4) Make a copy of your original fsx.cfg and delete it (or change the name) .

5) Let fsx make a new cfg file automaticaly by restarting fsx on the desktop (as in "pc edition without the oculus") and confirm your add ons.

6) FS2crew should work perfectly in the "pc edition", have a little chat and close fsx.

7) Wait a minute or two, start FlyInside and voila ... enjoy!

Have you tried using the latest P3D v4.3's Native VR? They have integrated native 2D window-views in VR.

I'm thinking about it 🙂 PMDG-prices are rather high for prepar3d and on top I'm comparing the flightsims with xplane11.
