August 3, 20187 yr Hello All, I have used FSX boxed edition for close to a decade using Windows 7 and have invested at least a couple of thousand dollars on all of the aircraft and scenery add ons. (Its probably more but I don't want to think about it!) I have upgraded my hardware a couple of times during this period but these new parts have all still been Windows 7 compatible. If I upgrade my system to the latest hardware now it will require a change to Windows 10. The key question is this: What percentage (roughly) of all of these addons I have invested in will not work under Windows 10? Will my boxed edition of FSX even work with Windows 10? Regards, Steve.
August 3, 20187 yr Everything will probably work, providing you install the sim into C:\ instead of the default Program File directory, & you just may have to run as Administrator. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
August 16, 20187 yr I always recommend after doing a clean install....the very first thing you do before anything else. Turn the UAC to 'Never notify' It is utterly useless in preventing an infection.
