September 21, 20187 yr The Antonov Design Bureau is a fascinating aircraft manufacturer. From the tiny An-2 to the gigantic An-225, it has an incredible range of aircraft in between. And, as for An-225, there is only one such Antonov called An-225 Mriya. By most metrics, it's the largest and heaviest operating aircraft in the world! Here below are a few screenshots of the An-225 in a fictional (camouflage) livery flying the virtual skies on a short trip from Geneva to Zurich. Thanks for viewing the images of this one-of-a-kind of aircraft. [Thomas Ruth(FW)/MSE/REX]

If my math is right....🙂.....there are 7 sets of 4 in the main-gear, and 2 pairs in the nose-gear for a total of 32 on the AN-225. I read that, out of the 32, there are 20 steerable wheels: all four in the nose gear plus 16 at the rear of the 28-wheel main gear. The result is noted to be an aircraft that is extremely maneuverable in spite of its size. I also read somewhere that it carries (up to 5) spare wheels in the hold...for possible mishaps on landing.... Edited September 21, 20187 yr by P_7878

It seems it visited Oakland (Calif.) very recently on Sept. 18 on a humanitarian mission taking supplies to Hawaii and Guam for Hurricane/Typhoon relief. A good match I would say! I just got to see the video today. and the takeoff seems so fluid and smooth...pretty close to the end of the runway....yes, must be impressive to see it for real....
