Nosewheel Steering Problem

Recommended Posts

3Suddenly I have no control over the nosewheel steering.  This applies to all aircraft.  I do not have rudder pedals, using a CH Yoke with ailerons for ground steering.  The latest version of EZDok is installed in P3Dv3.  I vaguely remember this happening long ago but don't remember how to fix it.  Was it in the controls settings?  Any suggestions please!!!

Do you have P3D V4.1, 4.2 or 4.3? The latest version of EZDOK is for 4.3.

Another alternative is that your controls lost connection or calibration so check that, another suggestion would be to check under P3D control configurations if you have the right settings.

If you delete the P3D.cfg file the default settings should return, but you will also lose your display settings, so make a backup of the file before proceeding.

Do you have version EZCA 2.7.0.17 installed?

Two things.  Yes.  It's P3Dv4.3.29.2552.0.  And the EZDok version installed is 2.7.0.17.  However, the problem has been solved.  So simple.  Auto Rudder was not selected.  Selected that and all is well.  I must be getting old!!!

To put the record straight

@symbol "i f you delete the P3D.cfg file the default settings should return

that is not correct , the controls are kept in C:\Users\jYOUR+ID\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Controls\standard.xml , or if you export them in an .xml file of your chosen name in C:\Users\YOUR-ID\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Files..
