Yeah, but he as a developer who doesn‘t want/recommend altering his product can‘t simply tell people how to modify another developers‘s product to (maybe) make it work with his. I understand him. If I was in charge at Aerosoft I wouldn‘t like him to do that as well. ,
October 10, 20187 yr Commercial Member It is not that simple as replacing PATH with TAXI types. It may work in some cases but not always. If it solved all the problems we would have already done it internally while reading the bgl files. Because we were aware of these issues during the development period we tried to "correct" for some of the most common issues. Drawing of an add-on scenery taxiway depends on a combination of factors: type (PATH or TAXI), if it is assigned a name or not, width (including an attempt to fix missing widths using nearby segments), etc. These techniques have minimized the unwanted effects, but have not cured them all. This is impossible since each add-on scenery developer has his own way of doing things and "fixing" what displays wrong in one scenery may brake things that display right in other sceneries. There is no one to be blamed here, neither PMDG or scenery developers. This is just the state the things are right now. However, we will be reaching scenery developers to get feedback from them and set some mutually accepted guidelines to achieve "PMDG Airport Map compatible files". We also plan to ask them to include (if they wish) some additional information that we could use, like buildings (currently only rectangular buildings of default scenery display) and more. So, stay tuned... Michael FrantzeskakisPrecision Manuals Development Grouphttp://www.precisionmanuals.com

I only referenced our product and our stance on out product to reference a standard set mutually: we ask people to not modify our products; I'm not going to suggest or pin a post that asks people to modify other people's products. 4 hours ago, soerennielsen said: Only to modify the scenery that YOUR product is reading. I know. You should really take a moment to actually read the post before responding to it. Please re-read it. Kyle Rodgers
