Looking for US Airports

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone, I'm looking to improve the scenery and airports on my FS2004. Can anyone help me find airports of the US such as new york JFK etc. Thanks.

Do a search in the file library for the airports you want in the FS2004 scenery section. Use the airport code to search, for example for jfk search for kjfk, in fact there is a nice frame rate friendly one there. Your other option is payware. There's a JFK among others at simflyers.net. (Caution status of company right now is uncertain as the support forum has gone to pot!) FLY Tampa has KMIA, KTPA, KSEA, KSFO, among others, all first rate. Cloud 9 also has KLAX. Which is also pretty good.

Thanks

Tom

The AVSIM library just received KJFK, which IMO is an excellent freeware (Kjfkv4.zip). KCLT, KBOS, KBWI and several others are excellent freeware that can be found in the library.Payware I have been using for USA KSFO-Tampa-Bay. I am considering other Payware but concerned in purchasing now with the FSX comming out shortly. If I new the Payware folks will have free updates or a minimal update cost to convert I would be purchasing additional sceneries from Tampa-Bay, and others.I do beleive Cloud 9 will upgrade to FSX for free. There are also some very nice foreign sceneries.Hope this will give you a start.Carl
