That program needed to be removed. Now we are only dealing with defender.

We could temporarily shut down Defender while installing but I would rather that you learn to do an Exclusion  for folders and files.

Follow this link for instructions...it is much easier with Defender...You can do this.

https://www.howtogeek.com/671233/how-to-add-exclusions-in-windows-defender-on-windows-10/

1) Make a Folder exclusion for   C:\ProgramData/Reality XP

2) Temporarily shut down Defender by following this link...

https://kb.acronis.com/content/62144

3) If the app  rxpGTN-750-XPL.exe  has been downloaded intact, run it.

4) If not, redownload and run it.

Take your time.

5) When install done, turn on Defender again.

6) Make a file exclusion for C:\ProgramData/Reality XP\rxpGtnSim32.dll

When I reached the step to add an exclusion I get the following error message for C:\ProgramData/Reality XP .....Folder name not valid

Should be:

C:\ProgramData\Reality XP

When you removed Macafee, did you reboot? (You really need to make sure that you removed it)

On your desktop, double click on any folder. This will bring up a file explorer. On the left side click on This PC. Your 😄 drive will appear on the right.

Double click the drive and look for ProgramData. Double click ProgramData and you will see the folder Reality XP.

If you have navigated this route and the files are there, it is valid. Return to Defender. When you are at the app tab, "Add an exclusion", choose "Folder" and a browser will appear.

Repeat in that browser what we just did to verify the folders existance and when you are at the folder...click open and we have it. It will now be on the exclusion list.

-----------------

If the folder C:\ProgramData\Reality XP is not there, don't worry.

Go to your Downloads folder. Is the "rxpGTN-750-XPL.exe" there. If yes, disable Windows Defender and run this exe .

If the exe is not there, redownload it, if it gets flagged, allow it...when in doubt, disable Defender temporarily and run the exe. If required, right click on the exe and "run as administrator"

----------------------

It may seem difficult, but it is not once you have done these tasks.

At the end of the day, we need to not have the virus solution getting in the way and allow us to run the rxpGTN-750-XPL.exe, put an exclusion on C:\ProgramData\Reality XP and an exclusion on C:\ProgramData\Reality XP\rxpGtnSim32.dll

Give the above a try ...
