January 2, 20197 yr How do you add airways to a flightplan. I see how you can go on the map to add starting airport, waypoints, VOR's etc, but I cannot figure out how to add the airways? thanks! Mark CYYZ
January 3, 20197 yr Hi Mark, you cannot add airways manually to the flight plan. You have to use the "Calculate ..." functions. There is also a calculate menu item in the flight plan table context menu that allows to automatically generate a plan segment between selected waypoints. Manual planning mode is on the list but it will take some time until I can take care of this. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
January 3, 20197 yr Author OK thanks. The reason I asked is that I was planning for a flight from Bakersfield, CA to Lake Tahoe. The auto calculate route takes you over high mountains all the way while my preferred route would have been slightly to the west of the mountain range which allowed for a lower alt and I think safer route until close to the end of the flight when you have no option but to go over the mountains to reach KTVL. January 3, 20197 yr You can simply add the waypoints along the preferred airways (e.g. by using Ctrl+Alt+Click). The route will be the same. It will just not show the airways in the table. Alex. Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
