January 6, 20197 yr I was about 100 feet above the runway landing at KJFK on 04L and all of a sudden my plane teleported onto the runway and smashing into it. My plane went from flying to on the runway. This is the second time this has happened landing at KJFK. Only scenery addon I have is orbx global.
January 6, 20197 yr Yeah 4L JFK is like 28L at SFO. Meaning because the runway is near the waters edge it glitches out and smacks ya down (P3D glitch). What I do is to fly the approach a little high on the GS and USUALLY there's no problem. David Warner

January 6, 20197 yr Nah, not that I know off. Somebody might have a solution, but I do not, sorry. I'm pretty sure that this is a really old FSX bug. David Warner
November 16, 20205 yr https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/172423-terrain-elevation-discrepancies-landing-glitches-orbx-addon-conflictions-ksfo/ Hey everybody. This might help. I changed my mesh setting to 5m and it fixed it for 22L in JFK Regards Felix Edited November 16, 20205 yr by Felix961
November 16, 20205 yr Isn't this issue known to be happening when using specific aircraft? I believe the PMDG 777 was one of them Shom MSFS2024 running on Win 11, 4K screen, Z790 AORUS ELITE AX-W, i9-14900K, MSI 3080Ti, Corsair 2x32GB 6000 MHz, 1+2TB M.2 NVMEs
November 16, 20205 yr As Felix has stated, the work around is to set the mesh resolution to 5 metres. To be honest, I have mine set to 2 metres at the moment in P3Dv4.5HF2, and so far I have not encountered the problem in my PMDG 777F.
