Samsung Odyssey Plus and Prepar3d v4

Recommended Posts

I just got the Odyssey+ here in Germany and have a problem using it with P3. I upgraded all drivers butt I cannot see any VR tap in the P3 menu. I would very much appreciate any help with this.

Thanks so much,

Bernd

Did you download and install SteamVR? You need SteamVR to use WMR headset in Prepar3D.

In Prepar3D once you start the scenario and press the ALT key. "Virtual Reality" should be an menu option. When you click on it a drop down should appear with a number of options like enable VR, Recalibrate Origin, setting, etc.

You do all of this on your monitor before you put head set on.

Thank you so much, I appreciate your comment. However, when I press the ALT key VR does not appear. I do not know what the solution is.

Thanks

Bernd

Thank you but I already went through this before, no luck.

Just to be clear, did you now install SteamVR? I've had the same issue and it won't show up when you don't have SteamVR installed.

Edit: It's not enough to install Steam only. When Steam is installed, you still need to download and install SteamVR within Steam.

I had a WMR set over christmas from my son and lost the VR menu at a point, too. My bad was, I had tried the Flyinside plugin which seems to change the menu structure. Uninstalling it seemingly doesn't restore the original structure.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the Prepar3d client (according to a suggestion by someone) did cure the situation for me.

Kind regards, Michael

I did install Steam VR, thanks. Michael, I did what you suggested and it worked. I also had Flyinside installed and that was the problem. Thank you so much for figuring this out. Much appreciated.

Best

Bernd
