Unable to uninstall and reinstall FS Water Configurator

Featured Replies

I recently installed FSX-SE.  I got many things to work.  However, when I tried to uninstall FSWC I got an "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application" error, Could not find a part of the path.   I tried to change the fsx_se.cfg to fsx.cfg and uninstall but still get the same error.  How can I resolve this?  Any information would be greatly appreciated.  I would insert a screen shot, but there is no place to add an attachment.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

An unhandled exception in FSX is usually simconnect related.

When you do this, the fsx-se.cfg will simply rebuild to the default.  If fsx_se.cfg is the config for FSX-SE, then you have to leave it at that.

The latest version of fswc appears to be v3.15.  Make sure that is the version you have.

Well I have fixed this issue.  I went to this site, https://steamcommunity.com/app/314160/discussions/1/627456487114234383/?l=spanish and properly uninstalled FSX only (Not FSX SE).  To uninstalled FS Water Configuration, I used Revo Uninstaller Pro.  If I recall correctly, I did a forced uninstall the first time, got the same error as before.  Then I did an uninstall and that got it. I then went to my fsx-se cfg file and renamed it fsx.

I reinstalled FS Water Configuration and copied the path to the root directory for FSX-SE.   This video helps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVj6ISLoddo .  Well thanks for input guys.  This site is always very responsive.  Maybe this helps someone with similar issues.
