  1. Actually, it's when I moved to FSX SE that I started getting OOM's. I never had a big problem with FSX that I couldn't fix. Not so with FSX Steam.
  2. I recently switched to FSX Steam and need to re-download my PMDG 777. It was a gift from my family. I When I go to the url to download (from the email) I get a Error: Your request ID is incorrect. Please contact store. This is VERY frustrating. I tried to contact support, but it when I requested a new password, I never got an email. PMDG, I love your planes, but your support needs some work. I am a paying customer and shouldn't have to go though all this just to download product I've already paid for. Any assistance would be helpful. Thanks.
  3. Well I have fixed this issue. I went to this site, https://steamcommunity.com/app/314160/discussions/1/627456487114234383/?l=spanish and properly uninstalled FSX only (Not FSX SE). To uninstalled FS Water Configuration, I used Revo Uninstaller Pro. If I recall correctly, I did a forced uninstall the first time, got the same error as before. Then I did an uninstall and that got it. I then went to my fsx-se cfg file and renamed it fsx. I reinstalled FS Water Configuration and copied the path to the root directory for FSX-SE. This video helps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVj6ISLoddo . Well thanks for input guys. This site is always very responsive. Maybe this helps someone with similar issues.
  4. I recently installed FSX-SE. I got many things to work. However, when I tried to uninstall FSWC I got an "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application" error, Could not find a part of the path. I tried to change the fsx_se.cfg to fsx.cfg and uninstall but still get the same error. How can I resolve this? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I would insert a screen shot, but there is no place to add an attachment.
  5. Thanks Jim, airernie. I came across this site right before you responded, https://steamcommunity.com/app/314160/discussions/1/627456487114234383/?l=spanish I am uninstalling all my old FSX stuff. Hesitant to uninstall FSX-SE.
  6. I have installed FSX Steam. I have to say, I am rather disappointed. I am having more problems with Steam than I did with FSX. Out of memory errors, orbx not working properly. I am considering reinstalling FSX.
  7. I worked it out, at least with my Virtual American acars. Even though I already had this version on FSX, I redownloaded the latest FSUIPC and reinstalled it. Works fine now.
  8. I reinstalled luvcars for Southwest Virtual Airlines and vAACARs for Virtual American after I installed FSX Steam. The reason I ask is that the virtual airlines are installed in the C:> Program Files (x86). Not in the FSX folder. I was just curious about a possible tweek to fix this?
  9. I recently switched over to FSX Steam from FSX. I noticed my Virtual Airlines acars do not work with FSX SE, they still only recognize FSX. How do I fix this?
  10. FS9 would definitely get better framerates. I'll stick with FSX-SE. Questions though. How do you get FSX Steam to work with AES? I can't get the jetways to work.
  11. Even though I got rid of FSX, I still have the FSX folder at C:/Program Files(x86) > Microsoft Games > Microsoft Flight Simulator X. All my old downloads are still there.
  12. I have FSX Steam now. How do I get my old FSX apps to work with it. For example, trying to get Active Sky 16 to work with it.
  13. Just purchased FSX Steam (came with Piper Aztec). This will take a looonnnnggg time to download. Thanks for the input guys!
  14. Nolonger, Unfortunately a new PC is not an option at this time. I just bought a car in full and need to wait. You guys are right, my system is not optimum and to really enjoy the effects of FS I need a high end system. Is there a new version of FSX SE or can I download any version?
  15. So, in FSX Gold, if you install discs 1 & 2 that's Deluxe. The Acceleration is on separate (disc 3) disc. You can install from disc 1 & 2 or the Acceleration? Also, what about my payware & freeware (both scenery and aircraft) from FSX, will work in FSX SE no problem right?
  16. Hello! I am at a crossroads in my flight simulator career. I have been using FSX Gold Edition. I would jump to P3Dv4 or X Plane 11, but I need a new desk top to pursue those choices. My Specs: OS: Originally Windows 7 (Switched to Windows 10) 64-bit Processor: Intel Core i7 processor 860 (1st reason I need a new computer) Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB (2nd reason I need a new computer). 1TB hard drive 8GB DDR3 Memory I can run FSX and have successful flight and have an immersive experience BUT as you can imagine, I get lousy framerates and the occasional freezeup. Would it be a wise move to purchase FSX SE? Would FSX SE run smoother on my system?
  17. My FSX addons will be compatible with FSX:SE, correct? Where can I get it for $5? Thanks for the support.
  18. Guy, I do appreciate the responses. FS++, my error did not come from an fsinsider.dll issue. When I did a Event Viewer it seemed to point to g3d.dll as a possible issue.
  19. charlieaton, I did select repair. That's what I was instructed to do, install the discs.
  20. I was getting an 'Exception: 11' error with drubware an unable to run FS Cabin Crew. When I contacted drubware support I was instructed to reinstall FSX Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2 and try again. I reinstalled both disc one and then disc two. When I was done I tried to start FSX. The loading screen would come up for a minute or so then FSX would crash. Nothing. I restarted my computer and updated my driver for my display adapter. Every time I try to start FSX it crashes before it loads. I looked at event viewer and got this: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Faulting module name: g3d.dll, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb58 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x000c1699 Faulting process id: 0x27b8 Faulting application start time: 0x01d49de87d476bba Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\g3d.dll Report Id: ecbe747c-cbc7-4e17-afd8-72011c57f1fe Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: So far I haven't been able to work this out. This is very frustrating. Trying to fix one problem then getting another. I love this hobby. What could be the problem?
  21. Great work! I will make a point to use this from now on. Thanks so much!
  22. Wow, I thinks it's amazing no one has come up with the new AAL Livery for Captain sim 757 and 767. I would do it if I had time. Is there anyone out there that knows if this exists?
