Did a flight from KJFK to KSAN today. It was fun flying an old classic. I always loved the 727. Last one I saw in real life was Donald Trumps a few years ago. Wow, was that thing noisy, not that he cares (lol) Rob

I have recently downloaded the old school 727-200 & -100 from Thomas Ruth (who has some amazing planes). As I was flying the Braniff 727-200 the other day from KDFW to MMMX, I was unable to find a switch on the Autopilot that would control the climb and decent rate ft per minute (ie 1800, -1200). Did those pilots from the 60's, 70's and 80's have to fly to say 30, 000 ft then set the altitude to hold or is there a way to use the auto pilot to control the climb and decent? . Also what about the approach and landing with the ils on the autopilot? Any information would be useful. Thanks. PS. I would rather not install an autopilot that would be similar to a plane like the 737-800. I'd like to fly this plane proper.

Hey! As I decided to leave FS9 for a while and give FSX a second try on my machine, I was surprised by the fact airports such as Fly Tampa Dubai and Hong Kong perform with much higher FPS and detail than the former simulator. Hence I decided to begin flying classic operations with either the 707 or 727 as I haven't decided yet. What I'm looking for is a virtual airline simulating the type and preferably with an active community to fee more involved in the hobby. A real airline is my preference but fictional is welcome too, and obviously I understand that the old boeings fall in historical category. (Unless Saha Air still flies them) Doesn't need to be based in Hong Kong or Dubai for starters... Any suggestions welcome!

I recently downloaded 727 Captain by Captain Sim and everything is wrong with it! The pilot's windows are locked, none of the buttons on the overhead panel work, the autopilots and radios don't work and the elevators etc. are jammed. Can anyone help me?

I am a big fan of the 727-200. A fellow recently released a set of high-def textures for the CS727. For the price of 8.50 euros I though it might be worth a try. I know it takes a long time to create new HD textures from scratch. What I am posting here are screenshots of HD wing views that I added to the standard definition repaints that I have. He may have done too good a job as when I tried a full HD set of textures I got OOMs. I found my sweet spot. My immersion experience is a combination of VC and wing views....and still getting good performance. And as long as I view my externals models with a zoom of 0.8 or less I am not really losing much. See for yourself. You may decide to support his efforts. Think McPhat. Thanks for looking

I would like to merge the Captain Sim 727 VC into the Tom Ruth 727 model. Any one know how to do this? Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated. Jack
