Altitude Constraints: Avoid?

Hi,

There are numerous SID’s that have altitude constraints waypoint after waypoint, for instance some leaving Gatwick EGKK airspace, and I would like to know if there is a way to ask for clearance to climb through them?

Traffic permitting, I might wish to climb through such restructions, but P2A quite correctly tells me to descend (which I don’t do).

There is a P2A “at pilots discretion” for enroute descents, but I’m looking for an early climb (or step climb).

Simply don't file a SID and uncheck the ATC Assigns SIDs option.  You will then get the step climb.

Hi Dave,

In real life these constraints are often waved by ATC providing there's no conflicts likely to arise above, especially when it's busy and they just want to clear flights away.

As a future improvement couldn't there be a random chance of being automatically cleared higher, and also of acquiescing to such a request from the pilot? That would certainly add to the realism.

A little such unpredictability in flights makes not only for more realism but also for increased enjoyment of your program.

Nicely worded, and precisely expressing one of P2A’s few missing links - optional random ATC constraint waiving, be it altitude and/or speed.

Has this been implemented?

I recently downloaded the trial version two days ago with a view of purchasing the full version. However, I'm being held to the constraints of the SID & not being allowed to climb further. Is there an option within the settings I can change to allow further climb? Some SIDs within the airports I fly out from (UK) have restrictions which last for many miles which is unrealistic to fly restricted for so long. 

For STARs you can follow the STAR or be vectored in, Is there something similar for SIDs?

I'm really enjoying Pilot2atc, I just can't find an answer to my query.
