I fly the aerosoft a320 professional on WIN 10 with P3D V4.4. I bought Button Control for it and installed it. After I load cold & dark state I start button control with the assigned button. It starts with initialazing and it's V3.3. Then I set up the config in the panel and start pre flight procedure in config. Everything seems to work so far. I set up aircraft as in manual described but when it comes to call before start procedure and I push the assigned button nothing happens. It wont continue. I spend many, many hours trying to fix it and followed every hint I found on the web. It doesn't work.
Then I tried voice control, but I had to set up my computer first since my operating system is in German. After I have done that and trained speech recognition. I started fs2crew voice and did as described in manual and it works perfectly. I recogniced one major difference between the two. When I start button control pre flight procedure, it does not change color to orange promting pre-flight saying wait until Co-Pilot has finished. In voice control it does. My questions now are: What am I doing wrong? What could be the problem? For a start I would prefer the button version, though my USB headset has arrived today. Thanks in advance.

If nothing happens when you push the Main Button, try a different assignment.  

I recommend using the "C" key for this (ALTERNATE STATIC SOURCE ON/OFF).  That's the button you'll use most of the time in Button Control to go through the checklists/commands.

Button and Voice are a bit different.  Just follow the tutorial 🙂

 

This was it. I didn't assign this button. How stupid I am. Now it's up to me but voice control seems to be easier. Thanks a lot!! What I have to figure out now how GSX works with fs2crew.

I had a nightmare because of this simple mistake. I went through the manual again and think fs2crew is programed cleverly. All I have to do is change the panel in AS configurator to switch between voice and button, though the buttons have other purpose. RTFM is what I've learned out of this.

Important thing is your got it working 🙂

Don't worry, when it comes to RTFM I'm probably worse than you 🙂
