August 9, 200619 yr What new cities/airports get the high detailed treatment this time around??? I'm hoping for the Minneapolis/St. Paul area (KMSP)... Just thought I'd ask 'Tdragger' since he's given us the plane list already. :-)
August 9, 200619 yr No I was talking about the detailed areas like what we have with Chicago and the default KORD in FS2k4 (KSFO, KLAX, KJFK, etc)... :-)
August 9, 200619 yr Indeed, I was also :("FSX will contain 24,000 airports internationally with 1200 being highly detailed due to popularity" - flightsim.com Bernard
August 9, 200619 yr "Listing all 1200 would make a pretty big list."Yeah it would... but there are 40 highly detailed airports in the deluxe edition and only 20 in the standard one. I think we can count on Madrid after that Spanish video and of course Sea-Tac. But that still leaves 38 to account for. :)
August 9, 200619 yr O.K. I see... :+ Well that's 'eye candy' on a whole other level if 1,200 airports in FSX are as detailed or more so than the default KORD in FS2k4. All I can say is I hope KMSP is one of them. When I do get FSX I can see now outside of aircraft, my add-on installations will be reduced quite a bit from what I have with FS9. In FSX you have scenery on the level of Ultimate Terrain, 1,200 detailed airports (even the generic one's have gates and ground vehicles), and an updated ski environment to fly in. All I'll need is payware aircraft, a weather utility, Active Camera, Ultimate Traffic and FDC. That's about it, add-on mesh I might not bother with... Only the most detailed FlyTampa type scenery packages will I bother to install. I can't wait for Vista to be released so I can fully upgrade my rig, OS, and Flight Sim (fingers crossed on in game performance)... ;-)
August 9, 200619 yr "40 highly detailed airports"This is getting better all the time...Maybe we might see a few 'Highly Highly' detailed airports thrown in there... :-hah Maybe we can get a list of the 38 included or maybe 'TDragger' can cut right to it and tell me if KMSP is included or not. :-)In all fareness, it would actually be nice to have a list of all 38 so everyone would know...
August 9, 200619 yr I would assume Sydney would be as it is the most popular one in Australia.I dont think there would be any more Aussie ones (Perhaps MEL or BNE???)What about honolulu? Brent Lewis
August 9, 200619 yr Please Boise? Of course it is nowhere near big enough for them even to consider making it one of the detailed airports.;( :-)
August 9, 200619 yr Chris,"Please Boise? Of course it is nowhere near big enough for them even to consider making it one of the detailed airports.;( :-)"I'm pulling for you! :-lolI'm from Washington and live in Colorado but I've lived a bunch of places along the way including Boise for 2 1/2 years in the early '80s. A detailed scenery of that whole area would be great with mountains in 2 directions. Great area... but then the last few times I was there it had grown so much I could hardly find my way around. :-eek
August 9, 200619 yr Since they made it clear they want to push international this time round, would expect most or all to be non-US airports.scott s..

August 9, 200619 yr Not that I'm biased or anything but here's hoping for EPWA. I mean it IS a "capitol city airport".PZL
