RTX 2060 or a RTX 2070

Featured Replies

Hi I am going to be upgrading from my GTX 1060 6GB to either an RTX 2060 or 2070. I originally was going to just go for 2060, however, I am noticing I am hitting that 6GB buffer already in some areas and getting large stutters and freezes when I do so. So for roughly £100 I could get the RTX 2070 8GB VRAM, which would increase my performance greatly. I know that the Fps:Price ratio is best for the 2060, but the 6GB buffer is worrying me. I have an i5 8600K, so I have a mid/high range CPU. Also, I have 16GB RAM. So do I go for the 2060 or 2070?

Thanks, Ollie

My vote: 2070.

You are going to regret getting the 2060 and the price difference will soon be forgotten..

Sorry to hijack the thread but im also going to replace my 1060 within the next year. I run a 40” in 4K so I’ll need a higher end card. Any suggestions? Would I be better off waiting for the next series released or go for a used 1080ti?
