Sobelair real world airline in FS2006

Featured Replies

Don't know... I just hope that is a real screenshot because it looks so good!

Yep! Looks great.I like the extra detail (coastline, roads etc) in the airport and New York shots. FSX will be worth it just for extra details like this!

just imagine the CPU power you need to run this thing to have all this eye candy.

True... thank heavens for upcoming Core2

That aircraft is a 3rd party aircraft from FS 2004 that was just used as a placeholder for the default 737-800 that can be seen in the "sharedskies" video. It is a very early screenshot, because it does have FS 2006 as the title and we all know that was changed to FSX. I believe that due to licensing, no real airline livery will be included as default.Regards,Owen

And if a real airline were in there it would be a US airline, not an almost bankrupt Belgian one.

So why does this early screenshot look alot better than the latest video?

I forgot where I read it, but I believe when playing multiplayer they tone down the graphics so that things can be easily shared over the web. So the airport "activity" isn't included when playing online.

We have some bankrupt and almost-bankrupt airlines too. Maybe they should look to MS for some license fees instead of increasing ticket prices and decreasing service :-) .
