June 15, 200619 yr Hi Bill,Unique? It's been the case on every airliner from the DC-6 and L-749 through todays jumbos. That's a lot of planes.Take care,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page

I've never seen a "nose wheel tiller" (like in the Airbus pilot side control) in very many a/c...But, even counting the one's you mentioned, that's still less than 1% of the total aircraft flying worldwide... ;) Fr. June 16, 200619 yr Hi,True, there are more planes without tillers. But I forgot to mention that all large military aircraft also have tillers, so that adds a few more. :)Take care,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
June 16, 200619 yr Author Not sure that is less than 1% of the planes.Given that all the commercial flying Boeing, Airbus, MDDouglas and Lockheed have them...I also believe the Twin Otters have. So that is not only a thing of the biggies.Regards,Cedric
