May 30, 200620 yr There is a great possibility that the night vehicle traffic on roads in FSX could resemble the one on the "Chase the Sun" video on the homepage of www.vistaoz.org. WHAT DO YOU THINK? Please MS, give us some night screen shots and lengthy videos. Thanks!
May 30, 200620 yr I have no idea what FSX traffic will look at at night but I do know I'm installing VOZ right away!! ----------------------------------------------------- i7 920 @ 3.6 GHz; 6Gb DDR3; Windows 7 Ultimate x64; Sim disk=300Gb 10,000rpm (VelociRaptor); OS disk=300Gb 7,200rpm Radeon HD 4870 X2; Audigy 2 ZS; Dual monitors=24" Dell Widescreen (TFT) & 19" BenQ (TFT) FSX Acceleration
May 30, 200620 yr ROFL... VOZ has been kicking butt since v0.99 ... it's one of the most downloaded scenery packages of all time and soon with the popularity of v1.2 it will probably be the biggest of all.Where have you been, on a walkabout?;)Scott / Vorlin

I'm personally looking forward to that feature in FSX myself! :)Yeah we're amazed by VOZ's popularity - in the last 50 hours we've had nearly 30,000 downloads of VOZ 1.2, and we're on track to crack the 100,000 user mark by the time 1.3 is released. We love the support the FS community is giving us.
May 31, 200620 yr Hey Juice, if they're not modelled with it, it won't be hard to create a new model in GMAX/3DS and attach an FX point to it, then re-assign the new MDL GUID codes in the XML...In short if it ain't in, it won't be that hard to make and someone will make it happen for FSX, even if it's a 3rd party...BTW I just saw the videos for VOZ, amazing stuff, have the ACES guys seen it before? Amazing stuff, and your video director/editor did an amazing job, would love to know what his rig setup is, because that stuff was smooth and clear (albeit sped up in post mostly)... I'd love to build a machine that runs that smooth... Dean MountfordUltimate VFR
May 31, 200620 yr Hello KOORBY,Awesome vidoes! However technically speaking, the "VOZdream" and the "VOZLIFE" files are said to be "corrupt." Can they be fixed?Keep up the good work and many Thanks to you!Dito
May 31, 200620 yr Hehe, actually, VOZ has been gathering dust on my HD since it was released. When I learned I needed to fiddle with textures (replacing etc) I decided it wasn't worth it. Architect's video made me change my mind though. ----------------------------------------------------- i7 920 @ 3.6 GHz; 6Gb DDR3; Windows 7 Ultimate x64; Sim disk=300Gb 10,000rpm (VelociRaptor); OS disk=300Gb 7,200rpm Radeon HD 4870 X2; Audigy 2 ZS; Dual monitors=24" Dell Widescreen (TFT) & 19" BenQ (TFT) FSX Acceleration

Architect's>video made me change my mind though. The point is, you DON'T have to "fiddle with textures" at all! It's AUTOMATIC!!! Which, of course you would have learned by reading the 'readme.txt' file that no one ever reads... ;) Fr. June 1, 200620 yr Ok thats great news that it can be changed by 3rd parties. Also, ships at night should have lights too.

June 1, 200620 yr Hmm good idea... Wondering if we can attach lights to MDL's without having to compile it with an attach point in GMAX... Time will tell... I think the effects engine in FS has been a tool that has had way more potential than what we've currently been using it for in FS2002-FS2004...Can't wait to see the SDK's when they come out... June 1, 200620 yr Author 1. Holy *******, Arkitekt has got some SERIOUS talent.2. ACES, guys you seriously need to commission this man to do your preview trailers. I have had zero interest in Australia, simply because of the lack of familiarity. No offense to Ozzies out there, but I generally fly in areas that I know in real life. Sort of a limiting factor, I know. HOWEVER... My goodness, but I can't stop gushing over the absolute gorgeousness of those videos and that scenery! I'm sorry, I know this is the wrong thread to be lobbing kudos for freeware, but there you go. Absolutely brilliant work, gents, and my download will be finishing shortly. :D "No matter how eloquent you are or how solidly and firm you've built your case, you will never win in an argument with an idiot, for he is too stupid to recognize his own defeat." ~Anonymous.
