If you run Win 10, press the Windows key and type "Prepar3d". You should get a list. Look for one with "file folder" under it. Click that, and the folder will open in Explorer.

I asked about the location of the root folder because I'm having trouble installing some aircraft like the Eaglesoft Citation X for an example.

Default Sim Platform Paths:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX

C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\
