March 26, 200620 yr ok here's something to get you all thinking. Space, X-prize, X remember fsX SpaceShip One, who was the biggest sponsor of the Rutan adventure ? Now that would be a nice mission the have :)On more serious note.......OMG lol

March 26, 200620 yr Can anyone tell me why when I try to watch the video that Windows Media Player just dispalys red & green colors? What settings do I need to adjust?ThanksJim
March 26, 200620 yr In the Synthesis example slide with the time of day animation, if you look closely you can see traffic driving up and down the road, very cool, though of course there was traffic in previous screenshots, it's nice to see even these rural roads will have traffic on them.

That would be fun to try if it's there.
March 26, 200620 yr I had the same problem recently. It was fixed by downloading the latest update. Best regards, Chris
March 26, 200620 yr I wonder if the theme of FSX could be a space age one. Come on ACES team, you know you want to tell us all :)SpaceShip One as a mission would be cool. But if we can now reach space I'm guessing we will see space based products coming out. Yet another specialist area.Wonder when underwater world will be avialable :)

I suppose you are referring to slide 15. Guess there's a video file missing here. Thanks for any hint.Etienne :-wave
March 26, 200620 yr Well, hopefully your comment says it all, but it could be demo code for the next version.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com/FC_StartJava.html] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-) Tom Perry
March 26, 200620 yr Well, let's see, they're adding lifeforms, more detailed terrain and road textures, from earth to space. It ain't gonna be called Flight Simulator much longer. It's becoming World Simulator. Just like they've all been talking - Flight, driving, racing, 4-wheelin', trains, RC, bird watching. How about "Whatever your hobby, you can do it here". "Have a hobby, do a hobby". I'd love to see a multi-player multi-class Reno simulation. It really is limitless. March 26, 200620 yr The video attached to Slide 15 Is called E:GDC 2006livingworld Segment.wmvI am not able to see it as it is not attached to the presentation... has anyone been able to locate this file? The person that saw it, how did you do it?Thanks I havent actually seen an animation of Traffic flow in the streets, would like to see this.
March 26, 200620 yr No I think he refers to slide #58, right panel, but I guess it might be just tree shadows, not traffic, otherwise there should be car headlights at night...
March 26, 200620 yr Not to mention unlimited profits from being one and only WorldSim universal gaming platform, it may also have a great non-gaming value such as being a render for professional GIS and scientific visualizations. Heh, I'll be able to play AND work on the same platform! THAT is mind-boggling! :-sun1 Anyway, "going to space" is a great step for the FS and it may be a giant leap for simulation in a whole, hopefully!Cheers,
