June 25, 20196 yr I realised the other day that I still have FSFW95 on my old laptop. That program must be 23 years old now? Amazing how it still runs well. It had some good features like X for land me, Y for slew etc. Anyone else using ancient FS programs out there?
June 25, 20196 yr Even Pro Pilot 99 works fine in Windows 10, infact every old FS exept FS98. I tried them all.
June 29, 20196 yr Modern laptops that are not designed for gaming and have no dedicated video card, can still run old versions of FS. Just plug a simple joystick into the USB (one that has a twist rudder) to play anywhere. The Thrustmaster T Flight is ideal because it is small, and the stick and throttle can be optionally separated or not. Even when separated, it only uses one USB plug. And it has two types of rudders, one on the stick (twist) and one on the throttle (a rather unique two big finger levers). That strange one on the throttle being easier than any twist type. And it's cheap only $55 or so. And programmable with lots of buttons etc. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
