Maximum use of RAM memory

Recommended Posts

I have 48gb of RAM.

Afterbutner  reports that 25% is involved.

How to use memory to the maximum?

Why?

Memory allocation is a complex set of processes and involve interaction between the loaded modules and the operating system.  The only handle we have on memory utilization is constraining the amount of memory.

I doubt you'll ever see much more than 11-12 GB of physical memory allocated using P3D.

You can use some of that excess RAM to set up a ginormous secondary disk cache on your flight sim drive(s), which makes sim reloads go faster.  I use a program called PrimoCache to do that when I'm doing scenery or gauge development and lots of restarts are needed.
