Brand new - looking for setup help!!

Yep that's a solid rig.  The triple monitor setup you're looking for- are they 1080P screens?  If so the 2070 will be fine.  Just a heads up nvidia just released a refreshed line of RTX cards.  The 2060/2070 Super.  There should be a 2080 super in the future.  If you trying to go higher resolution I'd get the RTX 2080 at least...maybe even the 2080 Ti

Those are 1080p monitors, so the 2070 will do the job (nicely..)

Am i overly limiting myself with 1080 monitors? It seems to be the industry standard.

Thank you,

Sam

I run P3DV4 on a 1080 monitor and like it just fine..

If you are going with three monitors, you should have a great experience..

Higher resolutions bring with them higher systems requirements.. so there is the trade-off.

I am sure someone is going to respond that they love their 4k monitor, and that is a choice they made..

Well i think i'm off to a good start. Now trying to figure out the most efficient way to run both racing and flight simulator with a single setup.

Bert with your vast knowledge in simulators i feel as if i'm inclined to ask, are you a pilot as well?

Any input, again, would be appreciated. Thank you so much for your help.

I took lessons, but unlike you, never got my PPL..  for that I have about 35 years of flightsimming experience

Bert

That should do fine if you're going for a 1080p setup and not planning on going VR, though that 8GB GPU should do fine in VR as well.

iRacing isn't demanding on the hardware as much as other modern titles so you're good there too.

Good luck!
