February 1, 200620 yr Author If nothing else, the pirates will have to be a heck of a lot more dedicated.I recently purchased a game online (2.4 gigs) downloadable, and with my broadband cable connection it still took about 3 hours to download. February 1, 200620 yr Few years ago it was thought that a CD was sooo large that noone would bother to pirate them because it would take too long to download. Now we're seeing programs distributed on multiple CDs pirated all the time.Downloading 5GB for a typical DVD takes a few hours on a decently fast DSL line. Not too bad for the kiddos with their P2P networks.Just turn it on before you go to school and when you get home there's your data. They do it all the time with movies already, so why not with software?
