Radar Contact With P3DV4 & PMDG 747-777

Featured Replies

As regards P3DV4, specifically version 4.5, it seems that Radar contact doesn't work with either the PMDG 747 or 777 being Cold & Dark . You can power everything up and configure for pushback but still nothing. Works fine from the Default configuration. The Radar Contact window comes up as it should but when you press 1 nothing happens and that's it. The PMDG 737 and all other aircraft I have when Cold & Dark are fine.

Any thoughts on how to work around this?

Make sure your comm panel is set correctly with your VHF1 MIC and Speaker on. I had the same problem when I first started using the 747 with RadarContact.

James is quite correct.

The "top left" radio button must be lit before any communications can take place.

Also ensure that the keys you are pressing are not reserved in PMDG for anything else.

I changed mine to CTRL+SHIFT+ the number required.

If you get FS2Crew, the co-pilot should do this as part of his duties. (Not absolutely sure, as I do it manually to get the weather and clearance well in advance).
