August 9, 20196 yr Been using RT since PSXT ( Freeware ) was released. Use it in X Plane too. Has got cheaper, and for a price of a meal for a 12 month sub. If you don't mind the odd behavior on the ground sometimes, and used in conjunction with Live ATC, the immersion is amazing. No more go around because of bad ai spacing, any go arounds a real. You do need an extensive ai library though, I have about 8000 liveries made up of AIG, FLAI, FAIB, and all the payware FSP. August 9, 20196 yr Wouldn't consider using anything but realtraffic, Xp and P3d. Tried going back and just can't.
August 10, 20196 yr Have they ever been able to fix the issue of traffic disappearing once it clears the runway? I know it's tied to the transponder being turned off.
August 10, 20196 yr Commercial Member I think that it is important to note that RealTraffic is not an AI package. It is just the source of the positioning data. To inject planes into a simulator you need additional software like "PSXSeeconTraffic" or "LorbyLiveTraffic" for FSX/P3D and "LiveTraffic" for XP. AFAIK none of them includes any aircraft models, so you have to have a collection of your own (for example, if you have one of the usual AI products already installed or if you are using WOAI, AIG OCI etc.). 5 hours ago, mwilk said: Have they ever been able to fix the issue of traffic disappearing once it clears the runway? They can't taxi out, because on most airfields that I am testing it with, transponders are being turned on just before takeoff, so the time delay would be too great (by the time the app knows that a flight is happening, the plane is sometimes already in the air).
