XP11 Taking 30 minutes to load!

Featured Replies

Good evening all!

As the title suggests, my XP11 takes up to 30 minutes to load up at a UK Airport.  I assumed this is because I have ORBX True Earth North, East and South; along with several UK 2000 and Orbx Airports.  I'm operating Windows 7 64bit with 16GB RAM and NVIDIA 60MSI GTX1060.

At All other worldwide airports it takes between 3-7minutes- which I can live with.

I do acknowledge that I have a numerous airports, aircraft and plugins.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With out yor log text from you xplane folder, no one can help you but i will assume from your statement that you addons scenery is a mess. actually i wouldnt be surprised if you GPU is being maxed out on ram and that is your slowdown,

It can be a issue with the load order. You can trying X Organiser 2.0. This software was helpful to me, about loading time. Good luck 🙂

I would agree with this issue about very slow X-Plane startup loading of scenery files in the OrbX area of the UK. I use Process Lasso to manage performance and can see where the CPU and RAM are being challenged during the load sequence. I sequenced the loading of scenery files in accordance with guidance on OrbX website a few weeks ago and that should not be an issue.

How does one attach log.txt files in this forum?

I don't think I should have an issue with my computer spec.

I'm going to check out X Organiser 2.0. I'd welcome any further advice on this topic.

It can take a while with Orbx... but what kind of hard drive do you have XP installed on (classic or SSD)?

I just swapped out a 1Tb hybrid SSHD for a 2Tb SSD and there has been a noticeable improvement in load time.
