So... about this rumored Airbus...

Featured Replies

It's been said before that Airbus has been reluctant to give out information on their FBW systems. Freeware and payware alike have resorted to making the best possible guess on these details, but we all know that no add-on has ever truly captured the complete Airbus experience. Now we see that an A321 will be one of the FSX defaults, so my question for Pixelpoke and Taildragger (and any other developers posting here) is just how detailed is the flight modelling, avionics, etc., in the default 'bus going to be? I'm sure it will be simplified like all default planes for market accessibility, but what I'm really curious about is what sort of underlying framework will there be for the Airbus model that differs from the Boeing model, and that has the potential to be exploited by third party developers for PIC and PMDG-level Airbus addons? Thanks again for being active here, guys!

HiWhere did you get that information about an Airbus being part of default MS aircraft in FSX ?curious :)Tero

PPL(A)

From PC Gamer:"A few of the notable additions to the already impressive roster of flyable planes are the DG Flugzeugbau 808S Glider, classic seaplanes like the de Havilland Beaver and Grumman Goose, and passenger planes like the Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A321."

So....even though the PCGamer article was exposed as being inaccurate speculation, you still believe what they said is still true?Jon,You are asking them to reveal features & content over and above what is contained in the official announcement which makes no mention of an Airbuzz. Nice try, but it ain't gonna happen.Cal (CYXX)

Nope.Tero asked where the Airbus information came from. I pointed it out.Doesn't say one bit about what anyone believes is true ;)

>So....even though the PCGamer article was exposed as being>inaccurate speculation, you still believe what they said is>still true?>The only confirmed inaccuracy in the PCGamer article was the release date.

>>So....even though the PCGamer article was exposed as being>>inaccurate speculation, you still believe what they said is>>still true?>>>>The only confirmed inaccuracy in the PCGamer article was the>release date.>>No, the only EXPLICITLY confirmed inaccuracy was the release date. Anything not explicitly confirmed is implicitly denied as far as I'm concerned.

Hi Cal.If there isn't an Airbus in FSX, I would appreciate someone knowing for sure telling me there isn't one. Did my question personally offend you so much that you had to come here as a Microsoft PR advocate and shoot me down? I'm a bit confused as to why you even posted what you did, because it adds ABSOLUTELY NOTHING constructive to the thread. Unless you know anything certain yourself that the rest of us don't, kindly keep such comments to yourself. Thank you.UPDATE:Incidentally,"Q: What are the types of aircraft featured in

Correction, there. I meant to say Maule rather than Husky, but... er... um... right. ;)

Just had to post a chuckle on that one....well said.Ian.

What about the rumoured 737-800. Could MS have partnered with.. PMDG ??John.

I didn't see AVSIM come out with any information until a few days before CES and even then another sim site broke the news first. Don't be so bitter because for all we know FSX might have a Airbus model. It would only make sense to add a Airbus model looking at how FS has 3 Boeing models.
