Bill's mod v3.1 and P3Dv4.5

Featured Replies

P3Dv4.5hf crashes when the Cheyenne II with Bill's mod v3.1 is loaded and selected for a flight.  Rarely does the scenario even load--when the Cheyenne is selected and you proceed with loading the scenario,  P3D crashes.  The stock Cheyenne II, unmodded, loads up and P3D runs normally, but I would prefer to continue flying with Bill's mod, as I did with P3Dv4.4, which didn't have this crash problem.  Any comments or ideas?  It seems the fault is with the mod, but I have no idea where to look.

Thanks for any help, guys.

Under the circumstances, if there is no solution to this, I will simply revert back to v4.4 and continue to fly the Cheyenne with Bill's mod.  I would have hoped to stay current with P3Dv4.5, but such is life.

Hi Stew,

I've recently moved to 4.5 - I haven't tried the Cheyenne yet - I'll see if I get some time this weekend...

Thanks, Scott.  Be sure you fly with Bill's mod.  The stock Carenado Cheyenne II doesn't have any problems, but does not compare to the modded version.

The culprit, as it turns out, was the REX WX radar.  I have completely uninstalled the radar from my system, and everything runs normally, no crashes.

Hi folks,

I just tried to PM Bill (whamil) to get his mods but he is not receiving messages.

Does anyone know how I can get the mods for the Carenado Cheyenne II. I've just re-installed it in P5D and am quite enjoying it in its raw state, but if there is some way of improving it I wold be most grateful. Also, do you think the III is worth a shot or is it simply not different or better enough to warrant the 15 cups of coffee it will cost to buy it? A Cheyenne 400 would seem like a good move up whereas the III is just a bit bigger, faster and flies a little higher. I fly for a living (Dash 8, A320, B737) so simming for me is a constant search for immersion and realism. A lot of these planes look gorgeous but the flying can let them down. So far I'm really liking the II without any mods.

Greetings!  I have Bill's mod for the Cheyenne II if you will pm your email address to me.  However, I'm not sure it will work in P3Dv5, as it was originally for V4.
