September 23, 20196 yr Hello, On my installation of P3D 4.5, i recently installed GSX, which worked normal. Today, I was adjusting some minor things (like airplane position at the gate), and since then, my joystick is no longer able to control the airplane's flight controls, but slews the airplane left/right/fwd/aft or yaws left/right iso the rudder input.... I already removed and reinstalled GSX - NO HELP. Can somebody help me out on this? Kind Regards, Eric
September 23, 20196 yr Commercial Member Check your P3D controls and select axis / slew mode. The app may have added or removed some of your settings. I've had that happen in the past where P3D added back in some slew axix controls and the moment I selected slew mode the aircraft would slew in circles and move all over the place if that is what you are seeing. September 23, 20196 yr It looks like you entered slew mode (Y key by default) in which the joystick will slew the aircraft around instead of making control inputs. I don't think GSX has something to do with this. In any case, check your joystick assignments.
September 23, 20196 yr Author Spot on ! ! ! For some reason, the sim was indeed in slew mode:-) Thanks Niklas
September 23, 20196 yr As a rule I always delete all my assignments for slew for the joysticks. I also deleted the default Y assignment for slew mode and only enter it with the mouse through the menu bar. Nothing's worse than accidentally entering slew mode in cruise and teleporting yourself 100 miles off course.
September 24, 20196 yr You might want to nuke the keystroke for 'mouse yoke' as well. I crashed a flight last week because it got turned on, and I had no idea what keystroke to use to turn it off. By the time I figured it out, I was in a death spiral from FL400. i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440
