Revolution, not evolution

Featured Replies

After watching the preview videos and commentary for most of the day, I watched something this evening which completely blew my mind. -  It wasn’t flightsim

I watched a real round the world video series on YouTube and I realised that what I was watching looked EXACTLY like what I had been watching all day. There was almost no distinction between the sim footage and the real world aerial footage I was watching this evening. The buildings and atmospherics were practically identical.  Sounds obvious, but the realisation of it was pretty amazing.  This is when I realised how absolutely amazing the new tech in the new sim actually is.

Definitely a revolutionary leap in every sense of the word.

Spent my day quite similar, but what was the name (or link) of the youtube video series? Would like to watch that too!

And have in mind which we are seeing is still an Alpha Build, things should improve even more with time.

A revolution out of an evolution. Very interesting to hear the Asobo folks  telling FSElite that they dissected FSX to keep the best and rebuild what was the software legacy of obsolete hardware.
