What are you going to do when W7's not supported?

Recommended Posts

I'll continue using W7 for as long as I can. Which, to be honest, is still a long time.  Its not obsolete and is still one of the best OS that's been made. My work PC has W10 and the difference is exactly zero. Other then the forced updates MS wants us to have with W10. Its ugly visuals. And its overbloated trash it puts on it to make it look like its an enhancement over W7.

Theirs nothing to stop you using W7 but like other OS`s hardware and software manufactures will be the problem, they will stop testing W7 compatibility issues saving cost so you will have to check before you buy.

GPU`s could be one Nvidia dropped 32bit OS support 2years ago.

That's a lot of replies and good advice!

I run P3Dv4.4 on three networked computers, 7 monitors and more hardware peripherals than I want to tell my wife about buying.  I use enough software programs in my setup to almost choke a horse.

The apple cart is working just fine.

I'm 72, have been simming for 12 years and chickened out on W10. I bought ESET anti-virus and decided to stick with W7 until a W10 only bell and whistle stares me in the face that I just can't resist.

Wish me luck, and thanks again. 🙂

I have suffered far more damage and grief from Microsoft updates than any malware. You'll be fine vp49p3. Sometimes I can't help but think that malware is just a scheme dreamed up by Microsoft, the NSA, and the antivirus companies to scare us into using their latest products so they can collect our money and data. How's that for a tin foil hat. 😁

Three year updste.  Still on W7.  Still using P3dv4.5.  Still simming every single day unless I'm not at home.  Learning more and more about using the sim to emulate actual flight. Haven't had a computer issue yet that wasn't solved by other than turning it on and off.  Never have had to reinstall P3d.  Life is good.

Well-my seven year old flight sim computer finally bit the dust.  Putting together a new rig--with Windows 10 no less.  Studying "Windows 10 for Dummies."  Wish me luck!!

I already read the Dummies book for 10 and don't want to buy another Dummies book.
