October 7, 20196 yr I am looking for good quality memory sticks for the Asus Maximus IX Hero motherboard. What are the recommended options for memory for this board? I would be looking for 16GB (2x8GB sticks). October 7, 20196 yr Go to Asus web site look up your MB and BIOS and it will tell what memory is supported. The lower the latency the better but more expensive. Edited October 7, 20196 yr by rjfry Raymond Fry.

October 9, 20196 yr Author I am not interested in the RGB lighting, but £89 for 3200Mhz C16 RAM is cheaper than £153 for that 3600Mhz C18 G.Skill RAM. In short, I would prefer to spend less than £100 if I can get decent performance RAM at that kind of price. It's cheaper for a reason, though admittedly at a price nearly twice as much it's hard to justify the 3600 RAM. Too bad, prices in the U.S. are much better. I purchased 32GB of 3600MHz RAM (with RGB even) for a mere $240, $265 after tax and shipping (216.75 pounds) earlier this year. Have you searched any further RAM options? The price differential between 3200 and 3600 RAM kits in the U.S. is quite small, you're paying nearly twice as much in this case. October 9, 20196 yr Author What I am looking for is decent quality (it does not need to be top of the range) RAM for the Asus Maximus IX Hero motherboard, and also a good quality PSU (probably a Corsair RX750 Modular) to go with it. If I can spend no more than £100 on the RAM, then that would be good. I don't live in the UK, but I know that you guys have a couple etailers focused on computer parts, overclockers UK being one of them. They appear to have better prices on 16GB 3600 RAM kits than the one you found on Amazon. Here's the list: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pc-components/memory/ddr4/ddr4-3600-mhz

October 9, 20196 yr 8 minutes ago, Christopher Low said: So, is 3600Mhz CAS18 RAM better than 3200Mhz CAS16 RAM? It's the same latency, higher bandwidth. I'd call that a win. If you want, you can pay even more of a premium for lower latency and have the best of both worlds, but its expensive...

I also have 32GB G.Skill DDR 4266 CL19 that I can give you but I'm not sure that will work in your MB. I would recommend G.Skill with Asus MBs. Cheers, Rob. they work , enable xmp and lower the speed to 3600 or 3800 , Christoper thats is the best deal you ever get,and Rob you ar the man Edit: if i remember ASUS Raja have a gamers B-die new chip profile in bios for both 2 x8 and 4x8 , with that high binned kit its no problem Edited October 10, 20196 yr by westman http://
