September 29, 200619 yr Any use to anybody - this weather tool or am I behind times.http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimul.../downloads.html
September 29, 200619 yr You can't be behind the times with that application since FSX isn't even out yet :)I can't use that wx program, as I don't have FSX, but I will try it as soon as FSX is out. Sounds interesting.RhettAMD 3700+, eVGA 7800GT 256, ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, etc. etc. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
September 29, 200619 yr You don't need FSX to run it. It's a standalone program that essentially downloads weather from the weather servers to show what the weather is at a particular location.
September 29, 200619 yr Oh, well in that case I will probably d/l it, wx always interests me.RhettAMD 3700+, eVGA 7800GT 256, ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, etc. etc. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
September 30, 200619 yr 'Deed, one can always use another look at the weather. And thanks to the OP for the link.:D
September 30, 200619 yr Would be great - and perhaps in the spirit of the more inclusive and internationally oriented FSX - if it also was possible to access airports outside the US ;-) Lars
September 30, 200619 yr Hi All,Here is the link for worldwide weather:http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/metar.shtmlAnd that is only one spot where METARs have been available for YEARS.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
September 30, 200619 yr Indeed but EKAH 301950Z 24004KT 9999 MIFG FEW030 12/12 Q1010 (METAR from my local airport provided by your link) does require a bit of interpretation for some of us;-) Lars

October 1, 200619 yr Author Jim; He might also tryhttp://adds.aviationweather.gov/metars/ as it gives the option of either "raw" as the example he listed, or"translated" for us common folk. After 2 or three times of comparing a raw/translated you're ableto decipher the raw...if you want to. Denny Retired Professional Tourist
