aircraft swerving on runway

Recommended Posts

You can try another RW procedure. A few short asymmetric right brake taps until rudder effectiveness is sufficient (with the tailwheel locked)

Unfortunately I can't test since I'm not near my flightsim PC, but loading e.g. 100-200lbs baggage into the cargo hold should put more weight on the tailwheel and increase directional stability.

Even with 0 wind it is really hard to hold the plane on line during start.

I guess additionally it is caused by the propeller torque!

Strange. Are you maybe trying to get the tail up with forward stick?  This will also increase directional control problems.

Concerning your takeoff problems. Do have the sensitivity sliders at max or at least 100%?

What "sensitivity sliders" do you mean? The once within P3D-Calibration? 65% for all axis and works for all my airplanes!

I have now come to terms with this problem...

Yes. Anything below 100% considerable slows down the flight controls movement which can lead to to ugly pilot induced oscillations due to the delayed flight control deflection.

That's the only thing the sensitivity slider does, delaying the control response. Never understood why they have it setup this way in FSX/P3D.
