Huawei VR Glasses? Something to keep an eye on...

Recommended Posts

So, this came out of nowhere, and so far is getting not much play in the western press yet, though it seems like something to keep an eye out for if only for its promise of much much less cumbersome VR implementations in the future. https://www.gizchina.com/2019/12/15/huawei-vr-glass-light-foldable-vr-headset/?fbclid=IwAR3UHsRpwt9L9UcfwYXORd6FRZuLPQV8quCpE3sRc-R0VtTFk8HlYnWwLcU

3200x160 ? wonder if this is a typo or what else?

166 grams sounds nice, but the 90-degree field of view not so,

and does it have some kind of tracking for 6DOF? will keep an eye on this...

The VR Glass appears to offer 1600 x 1600 per eye, with a pixel density of 1058 ppi

Those VR glasses are designed to read your thoughts to make sure that you don't have any opinions that are not sanctioned by the Chinese government. I for one will not be buying them because I have loads of opinions that are not sanctioned by the Chinese and indeed the Canadian government. I don't want to be sent to the re-education camp when China has finished buying Canada. Which should be any day now!
