December 17, 20196 yr Sebastian Wloch speaks about FS2020 rendering technic: https://www.wired.com/story/microsoft-flight-simulator-2020/?
December 17, 20196 yr Hi ArchStanton, Thanks for taking the time to post the Wired article about MSFS2020. It was interesting, informative and well written. Jim Morgan
December 17, 20196 yr Wloch said on one of the past interviews he was running the sim on a GTX 1060, an old and not so strong GPU. That’s a good indication that the sim will run fine on most of the gaming desktops. People just shouldn’t expect to run it fine on a 10 year old rig. 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel

He also said it's because his work is focused on the aerodynamics so he doesn't need the sim to look good!

But he also said he needs higher FPS than normal... So I would guess he runs it on higher FPS than normaly one would. 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel
