Issues with new headset

Featured Replies

Hi  Bryan,  Havnt used  the  fscrew2  with the  fsl  for awhile  now, it had  worked  before  all the updates  of  the  fsl  etc, so loaded  fs2crew   and  nothing  was heard  by the  fo  no  green bar  etc   ran   the  audio  test,   heard  it  thru left  and  right  head  set.(   no issue   using the  voice  recognition  etc ) so  it  was  a  very old  head  set  my  first  one  so  decided  to get  a new  one.  A (Logitech usb headset h340).   Ran  it  thru the  voice  recognition  no issues    ran up  sim  and  found  out   had  same  issues  as the old  one  I  can hear fo  etc  thru the  head  set  but  unable  to  talk  to him( no green  bar  etc).

In  the  Audio  set  up   it  comes up as        speakers(Logitech USB Headset H340)

Tried  using the button version  with no issues

Did you headset install its own drivers?

Try to revert back to the original Microsoft drivers.

Also, this...

Question: I'm running Windows 10.  The system is not hearing my voice.

Answer:

Uninstall Asus Sonic Studio, Asus Sonic Radar and Asus Studio 3 if you have them installed.  You don't need their bloatware. That solved it for one user.  Another user had an audio program called Nahimic running on his laptop.  Exiting that software prior to loading FS solved the issue for him.

If using a laptop, you may need to disable your built in mic on the laptop in order for your headset mic to be detected.

In your Windows "Power Options", ensure that "USB Selective Suspend Setting" is Disabled.

Make sure you're using the Green Bar (DSP on the FS2Crew Main Panel).  You need to be able to 'see' what the Speech Recognition system is "hearing".

Didn't  noticed I  just  plugged  it in the usb   and    after  the  pc  came  on in the  notification  it  said  it  was  installing   the  head  set,  and  after  a couple  minutes  a new  notication said  the head  set  was ready to be used  where I proceeded to set up mic  and  do the  speech  recognition with no issues,  iam not  using  a  lap  top  using  windows  10 with p3dv4.4 , never  had  any of  those things  installed  since    it  a new  pc   came  with  win10 installed.

yes I got  the green bar  enabled

Cant  work out  why  my  speech  recognition  works  and  it  doesn't  work in the  sim itself  but I  can hear  but unable  to talk  its like    there is  mute  button on the voice  part

I  had  a look in the log  section in the control  panel  said  it  didn't  find  any logs  but in the  right  hand  side I had  noticed  on top it  said unknown operating  system  and below   said unknown flight  simulator  everything  down  from that it  said succeded

when I tried  to  reset the audio in the  main audio panel  the  sim  always  ctd  or  doesn't  respond

So far  no issues  of  yet, there  no difference between  usb ports  other  than  had  to  try  some  thing  else 🙂 (might  try  to plug it  back in the  other  usb port  see  if  it  fails  again 🙂 )
