Is there a deadline for the switchover?

Recommended Posts

Like many others I’m still on v3 of Orbx Central because we simply don’t want to deal with the issues with OC v4. Down the road when I need to do a clean install I’ll move over to v4. Will we loose access or support if we don’t move over right away? I own just about everyone of your products and still have not received any email like others have reported.

What issues with Central? I know I had some mild teething issues when it first came out but that was also 6 months ago.

Deadline is not determined yet.

We expect it to be a few months from now.

There will be an in-app notification when we have a set date for it

Good!. I suggest adding a pinned thread here on AVSIM to report the initial issues that users are eventually having after the platform migration from OldProp to ORBX Central. That would help a lot.

We tend to just fix the issues instead of spending time writing about it.

Issues that need a workaround are listed in our Support portal under the Speed Tape category

Hopefully those workarounds will not be needed after the initial issues are completely solved.

I'm not really talking about "writing" anything specific but having a single place where all users can post their eventual issues and ask for solutions, so others can learn and won't need to open a separate ticket for the same issue. This will help everybody and save time at the end for everybody.

Currently, I'm seeing three different threads here at AVSIM dealing with the same reported issues (boot loop with ChasePlane). If you consider that being something efficient, well, maybe one of us is wrong.

Sorry I must have missed JV in our Press Release?

We aren't owned by Orbx...

Keven,

Will you dev Chaseplane for MSFS 2020?  I really enjoy that product in the cockpit. 😎
