You know, as a newbie simmer, even I starting to imagine how my complex 3rd party aircraft will be so badly optimized, that having passengers and VR enabled will make it unplayable.

But let us not forget that FS2020 will be the whole new level. Sim which is being created by 200 people team. Do you seriously believe that they will create product of this level for PC and Xbox without passengers(which is one of the top ten requested questions according to the feedback snapshot v.1.01#FS)?

Maybe not on the release but It is something they will not leave without attention because they need to get to the larger audience. And the larger audience is different. If you want to know how casual gamer thinks please listen to these questions on 1:37 and 2:00 in ign interview https://youtu.be/Q4pKRjNhQKs?t=97. The guy is basically asking how experience with Boeing 747 will be any different and what can you do with it.

When I started playing Xplane I was also surprised to see an empty aircraft in an empty airport. I was so surprised that I bought the WT3 within the first month. I also downloaded PassengersFX and it really changed my experience in a good way.

So I think there will be passengers in FS2020. For me embarking/disembarking animations and passengers/safety demonstrations sounds will be more than enough. Maybe they even add optional random events when you need to divert because of the passengers health conditions.

Would be also cool to get some stats like you landed with 700+ feet per minute and some people got injured. The only way I realized back then that my virtual landing were bad is passengersfx screaming sounds (plane fire animation also helped) 🙂

In FS 2030, the AI passenger will converse with you. You will have a menu to select from (politics, sports, business, etc.).

Nobody is saying unplayable. Just why waster resources.

Nobody is saying they will create as sim "of this level for PC and Xbox without passengers". Just that we don't want them.
