Modernised interface ?

Featured Replies

Just wondering, will the Dash-8 also get a modernised interface and the more flexible speech recognition in future, like the 737 NGXu , 747 and FSLabs ? Might be interesting for the future anyway, with the Q300 in the works at Majesticsoftware.

If that should happen, could you get rid of the annoying background sound or make it much quieter or even better, configurable ? It really gets repetitive during 20 min preflight and I always get the impression I have a hyperactive child sitting beside me, permanently busy with crinkling paper. Fortunately this is not present in the newer FSCrew products.

I assume you're referring to the looping pax boarding sound?

Hm, pax boarding sound. Well, maybe. I thought it starts after the Copilot returns from his walkaround. It sounds as if someone is permanently working/crinkling with paper.

Wow, that was fast, new version already. Thanks. But these background sounds are still in, start approx. when the Copilot returns from walkaround. Last around 1 minute and then the whole gets repeated around 20 times during the Preflight. These sounds are very loud relative to the Copilot voice.

I don't really understand it's purpose other than disturb. So often repeated sounds are not immersive at all, at least not for me. This is not present in the later Addons like PMDG 737NGXu or FSLabs. Why in the Dash-8 ?

However, thanks anyway !

Are you sure that's coming from FS2Crew?

Hm, this leaves me a bit puzzled. No, I hear this only with FS2Crew active.

Are you saying there is no more background sound coming from FS2Crew now ?

If it's not coming from the Copilot, then it makes me want to ask for a close cockpit door switch 🙂

Have recorded a video, approx. 90 sec to cover the whole sequence. But it's 150MB, no idea how to get it to you.
