Recent 9900K 1151 w/ Noctua air cooler build?

I have a very long history of ignoring dust ingress!  Apparently, it's not quite as nasty as it's purported to be because my current build is 6.4y/o now, has been run an average of 4-5y/day x365d/y overclocked to 4.22-4.42 w/ HT enabled on a 6-core, has not failed, performs w/o my A/C unit fairly well despite being under a desk w/ poor air circulation where we live now...and has negative air flow!  I opened the case twice now in 2y to clean it (!!!) as it doesn't have the nice removable filters that this case has.   And clearly, not much has suffered as a result.

There is a metal housing directly below the lower drive bay cage, and it also has thumbscrews holding it in place, so it must be removable.  ***Perhaps I can move that out of the way and put one of the 3 140mm I have on top down below as another intake fan which would get it closer to balanced while still being negative.  It's only supposed to fit 2x120mm on the bottom so presumably won't fit.  The reality is with this case there are more output fan locations than intake, so you're pretty much either not going to use all fan locations, or have negative pressure.  And near as I can tell this 9900K will be one hot mama compared to my current 3930K HT enabled, so cooling will definitely trump the dust concern, especially since I don't have the old thru the wall A/C unit to keep the box cool.  What I may do because again the box is in a bit of a stuffy location and I have no choices on that now, I will run a short duct thru the floor where the PC will sit, to deliver much cooler ambient into the intake fan side of the case which will be very simple to do.  I'm lucky as I have a pretty big unfinished basement w/ massive concrete foundation walls and floor and it's always about 54-58F down there all year.  Air around the PC under the desk where it lives now is probably getting well into the 80s during warmer times of the year and in the dead winter probably around 76F or so, so having 58F air flowing in will be very meaningful, and won't cost more than a few cents worth of ducting and the time to set it up.  ***(2nd intake fan shown below may not fit).

I'm assuming his Noctua is already damaged…..😂. Why using a Noctua when you can buy a BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro.

Huh... why would it be damaged?

Slightly better cooling.

Twice the warranty

Better mounting hardware.

Only thing the Dark Rock has going for it is that some think its better looking. Not true now the D15 is available in black. Not to mention Chromax fans and covers. Subjective of course.

By the way, lets not turn Noels thread into a "my choice is better than yours" debate.
